Peter’s workshop provided a practical and personal experience of ‘Augmenting the space of the home to fulfil the dream of it becoming a gallery.’ The workshop explored gallery spaces and the objects that come to occupy them in terms of their potential recasting within intimate and domestic settings. Such thinking was carried in the virtual setting of the workshop, which enacted much of the concerns that Peter’s ideas approached in principle. By downloading specific AR applications onto our mobile phones, we were able to revision our home space, filled with artistic and historical objects that would usually be held behind the walls of institutions. Our own personal exhibitions brought into question what and where might count as a site of cultural importance, testing the valences situated in and by the curatorial across spaces.
